I have specialised in Womenswear throughout my 4 years at the University of Leeds, and have loved experimenting with combining intricate detailing and sculptural silhouette. This was a key focus in my final collection – ‘Revelation / Concealment’ – which explores the way women’s bodies are revealed and concealed through their clothing. I aimed to create a collection which worked with the body by covering it entirely, but then revealing certain areas through sheer fabrics when the clothes were in movement.
I spent my Year in Industry in New York and London – working at Zac Posen, Oscar de la Renta and Ralph & Russo. The skills I developed during these internships have been invaluable this year, and have really allowed me to push myself creatively and develop innovative designs, skills I look forward to developing further in a future in luxury fashion.
