Krystal Fox

During my time studying fashion design, with a focus on womenswear, at university I have learned to design creatively and technically. Working at four different design companies including Donna Karan International and Kal Rieman in New York, Super Trash in Amsterdam and Bruce Oldfield in London during my year in industry has taught me many transferable skills. These have been put into practice and built upon this year. In this design project for Balenciaga I was inspired by astronauts and their uniforms, looking at the shapes and different components carefully. My other design projects incorporated under the sea and New York themes with a range of brands including Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane, Topshop and & Other Stories. My fashion photography and styling shoot, shown here, was based on urban camouflage, by the use of a restricted colour palette to match the background colours to the garments.
