Specialising in hand knitted textiles has seen me design a range of knitwear collections in the circular form. My projects carried out over the course of university have been aimed at high-end womens wear.
The basis of my last collection was on the formation of flocks of birds, focusing on movements and shapes created. The focus has been to translate these interesting forms into structural hand knit. This collection, produced in neutral colours intends to become sculpture on the model. Textures and variety of yarns hold huge importance as a continual reference back to the starting point of birds, yarns used are of high quality to remain within my high-end target market. The ten final outcomes of my final collection will continue to explore the vibrancy of movement though chunky hand knit.
