Catherine Wattrus

These two images are part of a larger collection of twelve images, which was themed around the concept of gender non-conformity for Vivienne Westwood. Taken primarily within the grounds of Castle Howard, a 18th century stately home, which provides an interesting juxtaposition between the traditional architecture and the non-traditional gender roles expressed in the photographs. The images were shot using continuous shutter frame to therefore capture the playfulness and movement of the subject as found in previous Vivienne Westwood campaigns. The styling of the clothing in the images used form, pattern and texture in order to further the concept of gender non-conformity.
