Procrastination is something that all of us has done at one point in our lives. It causes stress, anxiety and has been proven to also, in many cases, lower the standard of academic work. Despite these widely agreed views, it has also been argued that procrastination aids the creative process, and the activities that we do whilst we are procrastinating should be what we are doing as a career.

Procrastination is the conscious avoidance of doing an impending task even though you know it may harm you in the long run. Strategic Procrastination is a topic that has been discussed a lot in recent years. This is the idea of using procrastination to your advantage, and using the time you are procrastinating to do something more productive. This is also sometimes referred to as Positive Procrastination. The aim of Creative Block is to discover the effects of different forms of procrastination on the creative process.
