Creativity is believed to be born where there are endless opportunities and open doors. Yet, sometimes we end up being overwhelmed with too much and fall victim to the terror of the blank-pageĀ  or the creative block for quite a while. Constraints are seen as a negative but restricting freedom means that there is a force to choose. 5 briefs were tackled, with each completed over a 5-day time
period with a set constraint from emerging patterns and trends from my daily designer working life, in order to deviate away from my habitual ways. This project was an experimental challenge to see whether creativity could be reignited by restraining the creative process and whether refraining from thinking along the same lines as before means creative juices could be squeezed to a greater extent. It was about testing uncharted waters. Trying something new on for size. Jumping over hurdles.
