Throughout my four years studying textile design, I have specialised in print design and gained commercial experience in undertaking an industrial placement year at Digetex. My final collection focusses upon a tropical theme with designs intended for high-end womenswear fashion. With an interest in photography, initial inspiration was derived from images captured abroad of exotic flowers, birds, leaves and fruits. Through an experimental design approach, an array of mixed media techniques were combined including paints, inks, collage and embroidery and subsequently transferred to CAD to create unique prints. After graduating, I aspire to further develop my skills within a print design or buying role for fashion or interiors.
