What is it like to be a football supporter in 2016? That is the question I set out to explore with these projects.

Through the Turnstiles provides an in-depth look at match going supporters and how  they support their team. It lifts the lid on what it is like to be a part of a crowd on a Saturday from first and third person accounts. However, being a football supporter isn’t just for 90 minutes every weekend. Around the World looks at the colder, harsher reality of modern football, providing a critical  overview of the problems that affect these same supporters outside of the game itself. To really gain an insight into what it’s like to be part of an intense crowd, the ‘Red Pink’ fanzine takes you into the pre-match build up to a European semifinal created in the style of the traditional ‘Pink’ Saturday evening newspaper.
